Domaine Meo-Camuzet Vosne Romanee 2022 - 750ml
Domaine Meo-Camuzet Vosne Romanee 2022 - 750ml
93pts Jasper Morris
Mid crimson purple. A slightly tighter red fruit on the nose and this follows through on the palate where the fruit is backward, quite tightly wound, with medium concentration and good length. This requires a little more time but the fruit has retained its expected high class nature. Drink from 2030-2037.
91pts Burghound
75% from Les Barrauds and 25% from Aux Communes. A riper and much spicier freely reveals its aromas of plum, cassis, black cherry, violet and exotic tea. The medium weight flavors possess a lovely texture if only average density while delivering fine length on the delineation on the dusty, youthfully austere and balanced finale. This could use better depth but this wine almost always ages well. Worth checking out.Burghound Outstanding!
Vinous
The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Village, from Les Barreaux and Les Communes, is raised in 50% new oak and due to be bottled at the end of February. The fragrant bouquet offers brambly redcurrant and cranberry fruit, light sous-bois notes percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins. It is relatively light compared to recent vintages and quite classic in style with an open finish. Fine.
Winemaker Notes
The juice is intense and powerful, supported by lots of freshness and minerality which makes it a beautiful representation of the appellation! The vines, close to the Richebourg terroir, produce grapes of great maturity! Sometimes slightly marked by a slightly tight tannin, the Vosne-Romanée 2018 from Domaine Méo-Camuzet requires a few years of aging before fully delivering.
