Winemaker Notes
Following a mild winter the budding and flowering of the vine started early without incident. Summer was hot with a few days of rain in mid August which allowed the thick skinned clusters to plump up. Harvest was early, August 29th for us. The crop was generous with healthy grapes.
Deep garnet color. Its orientation to the East and soil composed of marl and clay gives this grand cru a rich aromatic palette of dark and red fruits intertwined with underbrush. Its a powerful and racy wine with great length and longevity.
