Moving to the reds, the 2020 Costières De Nîmes Fleur De Syrah has more cherry and some blue fruits as well as gamey, peppery, violet-like Northern Rhône character. Medium-bodied and balanced on the palate, it would be a great introduction to readers wanting to see what quality Syrah from the Rhône Valley tastes like. The blend is 95% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, partially destemmed, and aged in concrete tank.
