94pts James Suckling
Sour cherries, blueberries and spice box on the nose. Medium-to full-bodied with firm tannins. Savory and fleshy on the palate with some structure, leading to a flavorful and fruity finish. One of the best bonardas out there. Try after 2023.
92pts Vinous
The 2018 Bonarda El Enemigo Single Vineyard Los Paraísos hails from an old vineyard in Rivadavia, Mendoza and spent 12 months in ancient . Purple in hue, the aromas feature cherry and blackberry jam with a hint of gunpowder and herbs. The fleshy palate is broad with precise freshness while the relatively grippy tannins add a rugged complexion before the long, fruity finish.
91pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
I like the balance and subtle varietal character of the 2018 Bonarda Single Vineyard Los Paraísos. It has a fine thread in the palate, fine-grained tannins and a dry, long and serious finish. This always shows an extra degree of freshness compared with the rest of the single-vineyard bottlings. It's juicy and delicious, round but with good fluidity. 6,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2019.
