Pouring a bright, youthful yellow hue, the 2020 Chardonnay Yamhill-Carlton takes on a pure and fresh style, with notes of quince, pear, lemon curd, and a hint of baking spice. Medium-bodied, with a wonderful soft, stony texture, an elegant mouthfeel, and a clean finish, it’s a very pretty wine to enjoy over the next 5-7 years.

Tasting Notes

Silkiness that is light and flowing as an alpine spring. Acidity that dances and flirts around the palate, finally taking center stage on the finish. The structure picks up the pace and holds long after the finish.

Aromas of Daffodils, Graham cracker, apple, spring rain, and peach crumble. Flavors of stone fruit, marzipan, and apricot.

Winery Notes

Gran Moraine takes its name from cataclysmic floods that occurred in the northern Willamette Valley of Oregon during the last ice age. As the glaciers receded they released a torrent of water from the once giant Lake Missoula. These famous Missoula Floods traveled across the Columbia basin helping to carve out the Columbia Gorge.
