91pts James Suckling
It's a nicely pumped-up cabernet that's moderately tannic and very generous in fruit and oak spice flavors. Full-bodied, broad and delicious, leading with blueberries, cocoa and blackberries, then hints of vanilla bean in the finish from a portion of American oak barrels used for aging. 12% malbec and 2% petite sirah go into this big wine. Winemaker's Notes
In crafting this wine, we strive for the perfect balance between hedonismand elegance. By incorporating a touch of Malbec into the blend, we enhance the softness of the tannins, resulting in a smooth and seamless experience. These supple tannins envelop the palate, revealing layers of blackberries and dark cherries, complemented by hints of freshly ground coffee. The wine is beautifully balanced, featuring well-integrated sweet oak notes that culminate in a lengthy, elegant finish.

Vintage Notes
Every vintage and harvest presents a unique set of obstacles, and we approach every year ready to face the challenge. Vintage 2019 began with occasional rains and cooler temperatures, which brought soil saturation and allowed fruit to mature steadily. Summer helped the grapes to ripen, and the warm days and cool nights of the Fall fostered gradual sugar accumulation and longer hang times. Harvest began slightly later than normal in some areas, with fruit picked at its peak, promising exceptional flavor in bottle.
