94pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Full-bodied, the concentrated red and black fruit layers have a solid, firm and grainy backbone with lovely freshness and a long, mineral-laced finish.
94pts James Suckling
Rich nose, full-bodied, rich and savory with a concentrated core of dark fruit, framed by firm, plush tannins.
92pts Wine Enthusiast
Made by Heidi Barrett and blended with 14% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, this concentrated, complex wine is earthy and dusty, with dense tannins and substantial layers of black fruit. Oak, clove and cassis pop on the palate, finishing in a breadth of baking spice.
91pts James Suckling
The 2019 Cabernet Franc Asuka checks in as a mix of 85% Cabernet Franc, 14% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot that spent 20 months in barrel. It's a soft, charming, front end-loaded wine that delivers lots of red and black berry fruits as well as spice, tobacco, and baking chocolate-like aromas and flavors. I wouldn't push the aging curve, but it will certainly deliver the goods over the coming decade.

Winemaker Notes
Asuka Cabernet Franc estate bottled Napa Valley AVA Asuka is the name of the town in the Nara Prefecture where founder Kenzo Tsujimoto was born, and when translated, represents "a bright future," and "hope for tomorrow." Asuka elevates the classic elements of Cabernet Franc, an approachable wine with signature intense aromatics that jump from the glass. Gentle and vibrant on the palate, refined tannins and bright acidity provide a bold freshness, with a long finish - a triumph of the Estate vineyards ready to enjoy now and into the future.
