Deep garnet-purple in color, the single-varietal 2021 Beckstoffer Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon leaps with classic scents of plum preserves and creme de cassis plus nuances of graphite, cedar, and menthol. The full-bodied palate is rich and plush, with just enough freshness and a good long finish. Drinking: 2026-2046

A brilliant bottle of wine in the making, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard comes from a historic valley floor site and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that's still aging in 90% new barrels. Ripe blue fruits, tobacco leaf, chocolate, and gravelly earth are just some of its nuances, and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, building tannins, and a great finish. It's a serious bottle of wine that will warrant a minimum 4-5 years of bottle age.
Winemaker Notes
The 2021 vintage was a welcome return to “normalcy” after a challenging 2020 vintage. Our Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep purple and full-bodied wine with concentrated notes of dark fruit, cocoa powder, and hints of graphite. A young and robust tannin structure frames this wine to a rich and lingering finish.
