91pts James Suckling
This basic pinot noir red is brimming with red-fruit aromas, but also notes of red roses and violets. The bright and juicy, medium-bodied palate has some discreet tannins that counterpoint the fruit nicely. Excellent balance. Drink now. Screw cap. Stuart Pigott
90pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Dörte and Meike Näkel's 2019 Spätburgunder offers a pure, refined and elegant bouquet of perfectly ripe red fruits, such as cherries and currants, intertwined with floral aromas. Round and juicy on the palate, this is an intense, wide and charmingly fruity Pinot Noir with an intense, sweet and persistently aromatic finish with fine salinity. The wine is still young but already delivers lots of juice, finesse and elegance. 13% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2021. Drink: 2022-2030 Stephan Reinhardt

Today it’s up to two sisters to successfully continue that which has been built up by four generations – including, most importantly, Werner Näkel.
