Wildly aromatic, fairly muscular blend. Salty bergamot, lemon, nectarine and white tea fill out the nose. Palate is filled with the texture of Gewürz, herbal hints from Pinot Blanc, but quickly washed back with classic Riesling acidity. Pairs well with fish tacos, pesto chicken pasta, pad thai...or a 50-degree day in late Spring.
Winemaker Ksenija Kostic-House, along with her husband and co-owner, John House, founded Ovum in hopes of producing Oregon white wines that are honest reflections of time and place. Fruit comes first - their top priority is finding farmers that share their beliefs, and then getting out of the way so their hard work can be tasted.
Blend: 45% Riesling, 35% Gewürztraminer, 11% Pinot Blanc, 9% Early Muscat
