90pts Falstaff

Intense, rich straw yellow. Fine hints of flowers and herbs on the nose, plus light quince and pear. Very rich, full-bodied on the palate, starts well at the beginning, then becomes somewhat broad on the finish and remains slightly bitter.

Winemaker Notes

The Pierpaolo Pecorari winery is located in the DOC of Isonzo del Friuli. This is an unoaked Pinot Grigio yet it's rich in texture due to the longer lees aging. A fine match for seafood or light meat dishes. 

Suggested dishes: Chicken in Chardonnay Marinade with Potatoes and Carrots. Crostini with cream of lentils and rosemary. Scorpion fish with thyme.
