This has a toasty, dark-fruited character with hints of chocolate and ground spices. Medium- to full-bodied, compact and polished with tight-grained tannins and succulent fruit underneath. Wide and encompassing. There is a weightless cloudiness to the texture with a chalky, lightly chewy finish. Better after 2026.

Winemaker Notes

Deep ruby color is a signature of our Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. Exotic aromas of sandlewood, espresso, brown sugar, and licorice combine with sweet ripe fruit. Concentrated and rich, and redolent with flavors of plum, black raspberry, black currant, and cola. The texture is velvety and creamy.

Leathery tannins and juicy acidity frame the structure of this balanced, delicious wine.
