Aromas of black plum, aniseed and saddle leather rise from the glass. This wine is smooth at first sip and has flavors of blackberry, raspberry, bittersweet chocolate, clove and a touch of cherry pipe tobacco. Velvety tannins ply the palate and drift into a finish marked with a note of sage.

Tasting Notes

High intensity, cherry red color, clean and bright. Great intensity, with spicy aromas, hints of vanilla and black fruits such as blackberry, balsamic notes and undergrowth. Smooth and silky wine, with hints of ripe black fruits, spices and a high persistence.

About the Wine

It comes from the finest grapes from Pago Valdelayegua, a vineyard that contributes unique qualities to the wine. With an average altitude of 815 meters above sea level, it produces grapes of great color and structure due to the high proportion of calcareous clays, the result of the sedimentation of particles carried in suspension by the Gromejón River millions of years ago.
