This wine starts tight, opening to floral and herbal scents, then extending into fresh and lasting power. The fruit has some vegetal overtones, notes of tobacco and a darker rootiness. It’s a blend of Bordeaux varieties: 79 percent cabernet sauvignon, with small amounts of petit verdot, malbec, merlot and franc. Oak plays a role with coffee-bean scents, needing time to integrate into the wine.

The 2018 Symmetry has luxurious aromas of red fruit, plum, vanilla, dusty oak and dried fruit which unfold on the palate with silky layers of dark fruits, baking spices and a supple, rich mouthfeel. This wine is harmonious and elegant with refined tannins and a long, lingering finish.
