96pts Tasting Panel
Effervescent in the figurative as much as the literal sense, this flamingo-pink beauty flaunts an irrepressible bead and an intense nose of red apple, watermelon, and wild strawberry enhanced by hints of shortbread and spiced, almost curried, almond. Pure silk on entry thanks in part to brilliantly inte- grated acidity, it carries on its fairly full frame cream-splashed red berries with midpalate flashes of pomelo and peach; a faint trace of cucumber melds with candied ginger on the long finish. Roughly a quarter of the blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay is composed of reserve wine, while nearly 20% of the Pinot Noir was vinified as red wine.
94pts Wine Spectator
A gorgeous rosé in a rich, vinous style, this shows a satiny mousse and well-honed acidity, which buoy a detailed range of macerated raspberry fruit, dried apricot, grated ginger, graphite and chopped roasted almond flavors. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2025.
92pts Decanter
A blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, and featuring around 25% reserve wines, this is 100% premier cru fruit from the Montagne des Reims and Côte des Blancs. Almost a third of the Pinot Noir was vinified as a still wine. A deep coral colour, this is fresh and youthful, with rounded wild red berry fruit, and hint of rose. With some time in the glass, it develops deeper, complex, more exotic notes, leading to a long and lively finish. Dosage: 8g/L.
93pts James Suckling
Very attractive, bright and fragrant red fruits on the nose here. This has a wealth of fresh yeasty characters, fresh pastry and bread dough, plus red fruits, pink grapefruit, and some floral notes too. The palate has a strong nectarine and light cherry flavor thread. Chardonnay has a lot to say here; the texture is creamy and the balance right on the money. Drink now.
91pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The latest rendition of Ruinart’s NV Brut Rosé evokes aromas of blood orange, red berries, flowers and pastry. Medium to full-bodied, round and supple, it’s elegant with a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a long, delicate finish. There’s no reason to wait.
90pts Wine Enthusiast
In the generous style that is Ruinart, the wine is full with red fruits that are mouthfilling and rich. At the same time, there is a crisp streak of mineral texture that cuts through the wine to give a bright aftertaste. Drink this beautifully balanced Champagne now.
Tasting Notes
Ruinart Rosé reveals coral and rosewood hues. First impressions reveal intense aromas of tropical fruit such as pomegranate, lychee and guava, complemented by floral essences of damask rose and freshly picked red berries. Secondary aromas include hints of warm spices such as tonka bean and nutmeg. This cuvée’s fresh character is combined with a refined structure and delicate roundness. The elegant finish provides notes of peppermint and pink grapefruit.
Resident Chef Valérie Radou and Cellar Master Frédéric Panaïotis recommend pairing this champagne with oily fish and shellfish. It is also suitable for pairing with charcuterie and more powerful meats like duck. Discover their Duck and Grapefruit Salad recipe.
