The 2023 Pinot Noir Fog Dance is also coming from the Green Valley of the Russian River and pours a more jeweled ruby hue. The nose is more layered and enveloping, with notes of wild raspberries, cherries, fresh sage, violet perfume, and orange citrus, while the palate has more tension and well-defined structure, with ripe tannins, zesty, ripe acidity, and long persistence on the finish. It’s built for the long haul but has a lot to offer now. Drink 2026-2050.

The nose of this Pinot brings aromas of concentrated Bing cherry, orange peel, fried shiitake, and flowers, while the palate brings flavors of black plum, pithy orange, and spice mélange with focused acidity, weighty texture, and a very long finish.
Tasting Notes
Exuberant aromas of berries, black cherry and exotic spice aromatics are supported by bright flavors of red and black cherry, blood orange and soy. Velvety, fine grained tannins complement a long finish with subtle clove and citrus nuances.
Vineyard Notes
The Fog Dance Pinot Noir is from our organically farmed, estate owned Pinot Noir vineyard on the rolling hills located just to the east of Green Valley Creek. This gorgeous vineyard was planted in 1996 upon Goldridge fine sandy loam soils to several Dijon clones: 667, 777 and 115.
The Fog Dance Vineyard, Green Valley Pinot Noir bottling is named for the dance performed by the Pacific fog, drifting through the vineyards and back again to the sea each day. This wine reflects its cool Green Valley terroir, showing the brightness and purity of cherry, berry and cranberry flavors along with an elegant and refined texture.
