Les Montroziers is a blend where they used to do more parcellaire bottlings. The fruit is mainly from the Vosne-Romanée side, now assembled to tank. A bright medium deep purple. Elegance on the nose, with some Nuits muscle but showing more its Vosne-side pedigree. There is good intensity though also an austere backbone. Good acidity, a slight toast from the barrel, fine length. Still developing though it has been racked to tank. Drink from 2028-2034.

Faiveley's communal-level bottling, a blend of Agrillats and Lavières, has been rechristened as the 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Montroziers, in honor of Maurice Colrat de Montrozier, French statesman and great uncle of Guy and Yvonnes Faiveley. Wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet raspberries, plums and peonies, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and perfumed, with a lively core of fruit underpinned by succulent acids.
