Winemaker Notes

Every year, Billecart-Salmon vinifies base wines from a greater number of parcels than it actually needs for the production of its main cuvees. The tasting committee tastes each of these base wines and selects only the ones that match the standard and the style of Billecart-Salmon. Some of the wines that are not selected are bottled to be part of a second wine from the house, Inspiration 1818.

The Champagne Charles le Bel Brut Inspiration 1818 is very fine and crystalline bubbles in the glass with a golden yellow light. The wine has an impressive nose, with aromas of brioche, almonds, butter, apple and pear. A beautiful stroke on the palate, mineral, very good balance between acidity and roundness, citrus fruits and a long finish.

Blend:  37% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, (Reserve wine 70%)
