A bright yellow/gold color, the NV Champagne Rive Gauche Brut is showing beautifully right now and not showing the wild side I've found in some of these wines. It has custardy aromas of orange cream, almond croissant, and strawberries. Medium to full-bodied and ripe, it fills the palate and is fully dry, with a frothy mousse and a light brothy savoriness to close it out, with a note of grapefruit on the finish. Drink it now or over the next few years. Disgorged October 2023.

There's a plush density to the taffetalike mousse of this fragrant Champagne. Hints of apple blossoms and spices lace the flavors of peach skin, cherry and raw almond. Bright and harmonious, with a lightly chalky finish. Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Disgorged January 2023. Drink now. 250 cases imported.

About the Vineyard

Rive Gauche is a blend of Mardeuil terroirs, a cru where 1/3 of their holdings are located. Clay-limestone terroirs, rich in minerals where the three Champagne grape varieties are present. Meunier, king of the Valley, Pinot Noir, as well as Chardonnay.

This cuvée, elegant and of great finesse, is introduced by notes of peach, quince, roasted almond, acacia flowers and hawthorn. A fruity and floral cuvée offering an intense clay minerality, accompanied by aromas of fleshy fruits.
