Winemaker Notes

Following a mild winter the budding and flowering of the vine started early without incident. Summer was hot with a few days of rain in mid August which allowed the thick skinned clusters to plump up. Harvest was early, August 29th for us. The crop was generous with healthy grapes.

A deep garnet robe reflects the hot summer of 2022. It is a generous, sensuous win. Round in the palatte, it opens up earlier than its brother the Corton-Renardes and it can be enjoyed sooner.
