92pts James Suckling
Bark, olives, plums, blackberries, dried oysters and earth on the nose. Firm and focused, with a medium to full body and firm, compact tannins. Well structured. Drink or hold.
Vinous
The 2020 Malbec from the Uco Valley was 60% aged for 11 months in barrels. Garnet with a purple sheen. It delivers aromas of ripe, dark fruit, redcurrant and jam. Tempered by time in barrel, the measured juice is enhanced by the moderate, pleasant freshness, which also keeps the flow nimble. The 2020 is an energetic, alcoholic wine.
Tasting Notes
Very intense, violet, red. Notes of ripe plums, butter. Complex and mature. Good entrance, complex. Repeat notes of plums accompanied by a certain freshness. Excellent and long at the end.
Winemaker Notes
Until our youngest vines are mature enough to produce grapes with enough
complexity to qualify for our top wines, we use these grapes in our Varietals
range. With our Malbec we oer the distinctive flavors and purest expressions
of the emblematic varietal of Argentina. We produce this wine using the same
process, care and love as per our Colección.
