Lots of dark brambleberries, Morello cherries, violets, chocolate and blackberries. Juicy and nicely chewy on the palate, with a full body and a tight-grained finish. From the old vines of Atauta and Ines. Peppery and pretty long.

Tasting Notes

Vivid cherry color with violet highlights. Intense aroma of fresh red fruit with notes of violets, thyme, and rosemary.

In the mouth it stands out for its freshness and silkiness and its taste of ripe red and black fruit wrapped in incredibly silky tannins with a fresh, mineral finish. Fresh, youthful, fleshy on the palate, with a good concentration of ripe red and black fruit, all accompanied by soft tannins.

About the Wine

Parada de Atauta is born from the sandy soils of the Valley. It is the most subtle and elegant version of the Tinto Fino.

The wine is made from a selection of very old vineyards (80yrs old), ensuring better ripening and greater fruit intensity. Of notable high quality, these will be wines of great balance, with plenty of fruit and a palate that is equally opulent and fresh.

About the Winery

At an altitude of 1,000 meters in the Soria town of Atauta, there is a unique valley that constitutes an authentic enological and ethnographic jewel. In this unique enclave, Bodegas Dominio de Atauta literally stands with the purpose of reflecting in its wines all the peculiarities that the Tinto Fino variety is capable of offering from pre-phylloxera vines that are more than a century old.

Bodegas Dominio de Atauta drinks from the tradition of a valley with more than five centuries of winemaking tradition and with extreme conditions, both due to the altitude at which it is located, as well as a climate with little rain and large temperature fluctuations. Based on this, the philosophy that Bodegas Dominio de Atauta has followed since its inception has been to pamper the fruit obtained in the vineyard throughout the entire cycle with exceptional qualities and carry out a careful intervention in the winery.

Over the years and adding an excellent human factor to the unique conditions of the terroir, Dominio de Atauta's wines have managed to carve out a niche for themselves among some of the most renowned wines from such an outstanding Designation of Origin as Ribera del Duero.
