Smoky berry and cherry aromas are layered soy sauce and singed sage on the nose of this bottling. The palate is a bit sour with gamy meat flavors and also a bit ripe in black cherry flavors.

Winemaker Notes

The 2023 Maverick Ranches Cabernet Sauvignon opens with pronounced aromas of black plum and currant, complemented by nuanced layers of blackberry and cardamom, finishing with subtle notes of vanilla and cinnamon toast. On the palate, fine-grained tannins provide balance, supporting concentrated flavors of black cherry, raspberry, and mulberry. The velvety finish lingers with impressions of chocolate-covered cherry, dried herbs, and toasted oak.
