Light ruby color. Intense and delicate notes of cherries and black fruits with pepper touches. Beautiful tannins revealing the freshness of this red wine. Well balanced between the fruitiness and delicacy of the tannins. Nice length.

Ideal with a roasted breast of duck with cherries, a nut crusted rack of lamb or a flank steak with shallots.

About the Winery

Our Joseph MELLOT family and winery have their roots in Sancerre: its history began 5 centuries ago with Pierre-Etienne, the first in our long line of winemakers. At the end of the 17th century, César Mellot was King Louis XIV’s Wine Adviser.

Over time, Joseph MELLOT expanded by acquiring new vineyards. Nowadays, our Portfolio includes a wide variety of wines from the Centre-Loire Region.
