Tasting Notes

This wine shows a deep purple hue and a smooth, full-bodied texture. Aromas of cherry, blueberry, and black cherry are layered with a hint of French vanilla oak. The palate mirrors  the nose, with ripe blueberry and black cherry framed by the vibrant energy typical of  Alexander Valley. Supple and bright, it finishes with plush, velvety tannins.

Enjoy with prime rib, filet mignon, or rack of lamb. Drink now through 2035. 

Winemaker Notes

This single vineyard Alexander Valley Cabernet is sourced from the River Pass Vineyard is located just north of Healdsburg in Sonoma County. Nick Goldschmidt has been working this site for 15 years. The 7 acre site receives gentle morning sun which permits longer hang-times and greater flavor development resulting in the ultimate balance of richness, depth and elegance.
