Winemaker Notes

Deep, elegant and bright color with seductive aromas of ripe black, violet and licorice punctuated by peppery notes. There is a beautiful silky mouthfeel from the tannins which are elegant and well-balanced. It concludes with a velvety, long and intense finish. Lou Pontias is the name of the gentle breeze which wafts through the vineyard, refreshing the grapes on summer mornings.

Produced by the Union des Vignerons des Cotes du Rhone, the Boissy & Delaygue represents specific parcel selections from top growing areas overseen by the Union. The "Lou Pontias" is all from the best parel selections around the villages of Puymeras with plantings up to 400m of altitude and Richerenches which is famed for its sunny hillsides. Each grape is fermented in tank individually and the best tanks for each variety are chosen for the Lou Pontias.
