93pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Supple, rich and harmonious, the 2019 Lily's Garden Shiraz is drinking beautifully already. Hints of eucalyptus and sage add interest to the mixed-berry fruit, while the medium to full-bodied palate is almost creamy in texture, finishing long and luxuriously silky.
92pts Wine Spectator
Delivers maraschino cherry, raspberry coulis, Earl Grey tea and hints of custard on a rich and juicy frame, with accents of dark chocolate, dried herbs, palo santo and tobacco that linger on a long, expressive finish. Drink now.
91pts Wine Enthusiast
There’s a lovely combo of scrubby fresh herbs like thyme and sage with tart red and black currant and plum, with toasty vanilla oak influence. The mouthfeel is powerful with silky, succulent berry fruit and lifted acidity to keep it from jam territory.
Winemaker Notes
The pick of the bunch from our McLaren Vale vineyards. Lily’s Garden is a generous wine with cascading blue fruits and a rich long palate. General sand based soils provide lovely lifted aromatics, softness and roundness. The label’s blue colour takes inspiration from McLaren Vale’s close proximity to the sea.
