Blackberries, cassis, crushed stone, pepper, and spring flowers all emerge from the glass. It's a Côte-Rôtie on steroids and is full-bodied, has a deep, rich, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. The purity is sensational, and this riveting barrel sample has perfection written all over it. Don’t miss it.

The 2023 No. 12 is composed of 91% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre, and 2% Viognier. Deep garnet-purple colored, it prances out with perfumed, showy notes of kirsch, wild blueberries, and juicy plums, giving way to nuances of violets, dark chocolate, and tar. The full-bodied palate delivers a rock-solid backbone of firm, ripe tannins and compelling tension, finishing long with exciting mineral sparks.

The 2023 Andremily No. 12 is an enticing display of Jim Binns’ house style of opulence and amplitude, which here really benefits from the cool growing season and the cool site. Layered and complex, the No. 12 unfurls slowly in the glass, taking its time to reveal its true personality. Surprisingly red-toned in nature, it delivers layers of dark raspberry, chalk, blood orange and cracked white peppercorn. The tannins are ultra fine and very present, providing an ample framework for the wine’s generous mouthfeel. More than anything, though, the 2023 speaks to balance. It’s a total winner.
