Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Brancaia 2022 Ilatraia (with 40,000 bottles made) is a blend of 40% Petit Verdot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. The wine pours forth with an inky black appearance and hearty aromas of blackberry preserves and sweet baking spice. This is a bold red blend, with broad shoulders, rich texture and chalky tannins. The wine never feels too heavy, however, and there is an elegant moment of leanness on the mid-palate.
