Winemaker Notes

The flagship wine of Cave de Lugny, renowned worldwide, Mâcon-Lugny Les Charmes comes from the predominantly limestone plateau of the same name, located in the commune of Lugny. This wine, with its full, velvety, and spicy palate, reveals floral and fruity aromas (honey, acacia, citrus) that give it a unique style.

Pair with: Appetizers, puff pastries, petits fours, Fish, frog legs, snails, Poultry, soufflés, sweet and savory cuisine. Bresse chicken with cream.

About the Wine

The Mâcon Lugny lieu-dit "Les Charmes" is the flagship of the Cave de Lugny production and the pride of its winemakers. The harvest comes exclusively from a specific lieu-dit in the commune of Lugny, which takes the form of a 105-hectare plateau dominated by clay and limestone. The south/southeast orientation allows it to benefit from optimum sunshine. The average age of the vines is over 40 years, with the particularity that it is partly composed of so-called "musky" Chardonnay plants, which give the wine all its originality.

This wine is the reflection of diligent work and a guarantee of quality throughout the world.

The Cave de Lugny has been certified Sustainable Development Winegrowers since February 2015.
