Tasting Notes

Château Suduiraut Vieilles Vignes 2023 reveals a pale yellow color with green highlights. The nose, very open, begins with notes of hawthorn, white peach, green anise, and menthol, followed by mineral and woody aromas.
The attack is fresh and fleshy, with a smooth and vibrant finish. One perceives notes of wood, white-fleshed fruit, lime, and grapefruit zest.
The taut and rich finish lingers with flavors of sweet spices, fresh almond, and a touch of flint.
This Grand Vin Blanc Sec marries the terroir in all its minerality with the smoothness and freshness inherent in the two grape varieties. Enjoyable now, it will improve for the next 10 years.

About the Winery

Château Suduiraut, classed as a Premier Cru in 1855, is made from grapes selected from the finest terroirs of the property.
This wine is hand crafted at every stage of its elaboration and reveals remarkable finesse and complexity and a golden colour reminiscent of the sun that made it possible. With age the bright gold evolves to a dark amber colour. With an extensive life-span, it powerfully and harmoniously combines fruit and floral aromas with roasted and candied notes.

Blend: Sémillon 94%, Sauvignon blanc 6%
