94pts James Suckling
Dark bramble fruit, accompanied by notes of cedar, sage and a hint of licorice. The palate is full-bodied and very well articulated, presenting a lovely interplay between fruit, acidity and firm, chalky tannins. It’s very harmonious, finishing firm yet resolute. Best enjoyed from 2028.
92pts Vinous
The 2021 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is stellar. A pretty, nuanced Barolo, the 2021 offers up an exotic mélange of sweet red cherry fruit, kirsch, cinnamon, star anise and blood orange. This is such a complete and expressive Barolo with a ton of La Morra character.
About the Wine
This Barolo is coming from 2 different MGA (Giachini and Annunziata) and is ageing only in used barrels for two years. It's showing the pure characteristics of La Morra's terroir so fine and elegant with soft and silky tannins already in the first years on the market. Is silky, aromatic and nuanced so a classic Barolo. Crushed red berry fruit, rose petal, spice and orange peel all grace this attractive Barolo
