Winemaker Notes
Sergio Molino spends his working life as a consulting enologist, shaping other people's wines all over Piedmont and Italy. This is where he makes his own: the family farm at Annunziata in La Morra, bottled under his father Ernesto's name. It's a genuinely tiny operation -- a couple of hectares under vine among the orchards and vegetable gardens, farmed organically for over a decade. The Nebbiolo gets a short maceration and mostly older wood, and it shows more depth and grip than most Langhe Nebbiolo, which makes sense once you notice the postcode. A Barolo commune address without the Barolo waiting period.
Tasting Profile
Medium-bodied red. Sour cherry, rose, dried herbs and a hint of tar. Bright acidity and grippy tannins. Firm and savory rather than plush. Dry.
