94pts James Suckling
Aromas of lemon confit, flint and orange blossoms. The palate is medium-bodied with bright acidity and a creamy texture, giving flavors of grapefruit, peaches, green apples and lime zest. Great acidity, with underlying tension and power. Drink or hold.
Winemaker Notes
Grown on six special acres in the heart of our estate, this wine captures the essence of our Grace Benoist Ranch. The bouquet opens with enticing citrus blossom, tangerine, and flinty stone, complemented by tropical notes. The palate is pleasingly deep with a luscious texture balanced by bright, mouthwatering acidity. Vibrant flavors of pomelo, white peach, lime, and Golden Delicious apple unfold gracefully alongside subtle hints of pineapple and melon. A round, supple mouthfeel adds richness, while underlying tension from the bright acidity creates a lithe backbone with beautiful balance. The finish is long and expressive, with phenolic complexity adding a touch of yeasty brioche toast from the extended lees contact.
