Of all the vineyards FEL works with in Anderson Valley, Savoy is consistently the most savory. The aromatics are an intriguing blend of black tea, cedar, and sage all wrapped around an intense core of black cherry. As the wine develops in the glass, hints of blackberry, plum, and caraway begin to unfold. Savoy Pinot Noir is always a mouth filling wine with great depth and texture, and in 2013 the flavors were exceptionally intense.
"An impressive and distinctive example of a single vineyard wine, the 2013 Fel Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir offers multi-facet flavors of ripe red berries, bright blueberries, and savory dried herbs. Drinks nicely now with braised lamb shanks. (Tasted: September 9, 2016, San Francisco, CA) "
