About the Wine
This red blend is made from vines averaging 50 years old. The vineyards are dry-farmed, without pesticides or herbicides, and hand harvested. Monastrell’s bold fruit is perfectly in balance with the earthy notes of Cabernet and Syrah, producing a blend that shows complexity and balance. Rich in flavor and texture with fresh acidity and finessed tannin structure. Each varietal is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels separately before blending.
About the Winery
Bodegas Juan Gil, founded in 1916 in Jumilla, Spain, is a family-owned winery renowned for producing bold, expressive wines—especially from the Monastrell grape, which thrives in the region's harsh, arid climate. Now led by the fourth and fifth generations, the winery combines over a century of tradition with modern, sustainable practices, including organic farming and solar-powered facilities. Juan Gil has expanded across several key Spanish wine regions and gained international acclaim for its high-quality, value-driven wines such as the Silver Label and Clio, consistently earning praise for their intensity, structure, and authenticity.
