Aged 19 months in 100% French oak barrels (65% new), the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is a rock-solid success in this challenging vintage. Plums, subtle cassis, flowery incense, and spicy, cedary nuances all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, round, lush, and textured, with terrific overall balance. I like it today, yet it will keep for 8-10 years. Drink 2025-2035.

This robust, bold wine combines ripe purple and black fruits with flowering lavender, violets, a deft use of oak, and plenty of persistence. Full bodied, it has an almost melts-in-the-mouth palate presence and long finish.

Winemaker Notes

Playful and exuberant, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is brimming with black cherry and brambly oak spice aromas. Youthful and ripe with notes of cocoa and cardamom, the palate is plush and fleshy finishing with soft, supple tannins.

Winery Description

In 1992 Debbie and Randy Lewis established a small family winery in Napa Valley and were later joined by their son Dennis in 1999. Total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

They are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales and distribution, and they thrive on this challenge and the relationships they cultivate in the process. It is their continuing goal to create world-class wines.
