It's purple-fruited, with scents of cassis, blackberries and blueberries framed by hints of vanilla and cedar on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with a long, softy dusty finish. With just 8% new French oak—the bulk of the barrels are second and third use—the quality of the fruit really shines through.

Winemaker Notes

This wine shows deep ruby in hue with a bouquet of crushed violets, red currant, and black plum. A bounty of concentrated black fruits is featured on the palate, accompanied by dried herbs and cacao. Structured tannins provide this full-bodied wine with a unique depth along with a lively acidity that gives tension to a long, seamless finish.
