Proprietor Fernando Rodriguez de Rivera created this wine to honor his grandfather, Javier Cremades de Adaro, who came to Ribera del Duero to farm wine grapes and was nicknamed “the madman of Ventosilla.” All organic, including the cork, the vintage saw terrible May frosts, and so younger vines of Tinto Fino had to be used for the first time. Balanced and lighter than the 2022, it saw some time in clay amphorae during fermentation and is expressive in black fruit with tension and coiled, chalky tannins. Drink now through 2030.

Snappy acidity cuts through the mashed wild berries and mulling spice flavors, with scents of licorice, root beer bark, cigar box, and chalk dust offering complexity. Some dusty graphite and chalk give it some earthy gravitas on the finish. A nice bottling that'll show well at the lunch or dinner table.

About the Winery

The history of this wine dates back to the birth of Javier Cremades de Adaro in 1924. A wine enthusiast, his dream was always to produce unique wines true to the land. After a long and tireless search, he found the ideal place to grow vineyards and build the PRADOREY winery in the historic landscapes of the Real Sitio de Ventosilla estate.
