Displaying a garnet red color, the 2023 Rosso Di Montalcino is ripe on the nose with a musky cologne of baked cherries, leather, crushed flowers, and mossy earth. The palate leans toward full-bodied, with ripe tannins and an earth-noted feel, although it retains good freshness and ripeness of fruit through the finish. This is a more structured Rosso to drink over the coming 4-5 years.

Spicy and focused, with aromas of licorice, smoke, graphite, dried cherries and dried flowers. The tannins are quite austere, chalky and biting, with a light to medium body and refreshing acidity. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
Tasting Notes
Enveloping and captivating, Rosso di Montalcino is a versatile wine that is well suited to all convivial situations. With an intense ruby red color and explosive aromas, it highlights a bouquet of ripe red fruits and fresh roses. A full-bodied wine with soft, silky tannins.
Aged in large barrels to impart smoothness and elegance, it is enveloping, balanced, and lively on the palate. The finish is long and persistent, with an acidity that gives the wine excellent depth.
To be paired with both simple and elaborate dishes, it is by its nature a wine to be appreciated both young and aged.
This wine is produced from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on vines grown in rocky soils northeast of Montalcino.
