While a small portion of the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Dollarhide Estate was barrel fermented in French oak (15%), the rest was made in stainless steel. Pencil shavings do show up on the nose, alongside grapefruit and passion fruit, plus riper notes of fig and melon. It's medium-bodied, with a faintly silky texture that brings added interest to the finish.

Tasting Notes

A wine filled with fresh grapefruit, kiwi, lemon zest and dried melon aromas with fennel pollen and subtle notes of toasty oak. The palate is marked by pink grapefruit, ripe green apple, lime zest and white peach essence. It is structured and inviting, with a round, textured mouth feel from the oak barrel maturation and a creamy, layered texture. This Sauvignon Blanc is crisp yet rich with a satisfying lengthy finish.

The single vineyard wines from our Rutherford Vineyard have a luxurious texture and a lengthy finish of find-grained tannins attributed to the Rutherford dust soils while the oldest vines at Dollarhide Vineyard, some now 40 years old, produce the full-bodied, distinctive wines upon which St. Supéry Estate’s reputation was built.
