Travaglini's 2022 Gattinara is such a classy, polished wine. Sweet macerated cherry, pine, blood orange, spice and new leather are all lifted in the glass. Silky tannins wrap it all up in style. This is a very sexy wine from Travaglini. All the elements are so well balanced. What a total delight.

This is bright, with a crisp edge to its tart cherry, strawberry, rose hip and mineral flavors. Chalky tannins are present but integrated, with a lingering, iron-tinged aftertaste.

Winemaker Notes

Bright garnet color. Floral bouquet of violets and rose petals, leading to fruity cherry and strawberry, with a hint of spice. The mineral palate has just a hint of iron, complementing small red fruits and fruit jellies.
