Tasting Notes

The color of Vigneti Letizia's 2023 Stappasogni is rich, vibrant, and luminous. The nose opens with notes of flint, hydrocarbons, and ripe yellow plums. The palate is correspondingly fresh and flavorful, with a lovely hint of medicinal herbs, chamomile, and green tea.

It is at its best when paired with tasty cheeses and shellfish, it is unrivaled but it can also elegantly accompany white meats, meat pâtés and vegetable pies.

Winery Notes

In 2023 Aldo fell in love with the wines and the valleys of the Colli Tortonesi area, and decided to found Vigneti Letizia Winery in the hills of Monleale .

Here he purchased, around 2.5 hectares of land, chosen following the advice of many local producers, including Walter Massa , the pioneer of the rediscovery of the Timorasso grape. A Timorasso vineyard was immediately planted, while Barbera grapes are sourced from nearby vinegrowers.

The current production of the winery includes the Derthona Timorasso “ Stappasogni ,” the Piccolo Derthona “ Primo Passo ” and the Monleale “ Carpe Diem ”. The aim is to reach a total production of 20,000 bottles of Timorasso and Monleale.
