Wine Enthusiast
This rich wine is full in the mouth, with a creamy mousse that brings out the ripe fruits, zesty acidity and a lightly tannic structure. The wine is well balanced with acidity coming through at the end. Drink now. ROGER VOSS
About the Bubbles
A Blanc de Noirs crafted by a winemaker from the Côte des Blancs, more accustomed to Chardonnay? The affinities are not so distant: only the Marne separates the Chardonnay of Cramant from the Pinot Noir of Mareuil. This plot was originally acquired by Paulette Jumel, the second generation of the family.
Les Carelles is an identity-driven wine, a pure reflection of its terroir. The composition of the soil imparts notes of red and black fruits, along with tangy, elegant, and saline aromas, characteristic of this region.
Vineyard Notes
This cuvée is sourced from a single plot known as “Les Carelles” in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ (in the Vallée de la Marne).
The goal of this cuvée is to convey the expression of this single plot—a unique terroir, vinified with minimal intervention to preserve its authenticity.
